Back up your boards

Your boards live only in your browser, so a backup is the best way to keep them safe or move them to another computer.

1. Open a new tab and click the gear icon to open Settings.
2. Go to Data & Backup.
3. Press Export Backup. A file named vibeboard-backup- followed by the date is saved on your computer.
4. To restore it, open VibeBoard in the other browser, go to the same page and press Import Backup File.

The backup holds your boards, quick items, calendar events and reminders. Files in the Files widget are not included, only their names and links.

Reminders do not show

1. Make sure Chrome is running. Reminders do not fire while Chrome is closed.
2. Open the Reminders widget, add or open a reminder and press Test notification. It tells you if the notification was blocked.
3. Turn off Do Not Disturb or Focus Assist on your computer. They can hide notifications.
4. Check that Chrome is allowed to show notifications in your system settings.
5. Check that reminders are switched on and not paused. A paused list shows a banner with a Resume button.

My board looks empty

Each day opens a new board. Use the history panel (Ctrl+H) to open earlier days. Widgets you marked as permanent come back every day. If you cleared your browser's data or removed the extension, the boards are gone, and you can bring them back only from a backup file.

Website icons are missing

Icons for shortcuts and links come from Google's icon service, so they need an internet connection. When an icon cannot load, VibeBoard shows the first letter of the site on a colored tile. Nothing is wrong with your board.

Keyboard shortcuts

Press Alt and a letter to add a widget, for example Alt + N for a note. See the full list of shortcuts and the documentation for every widget.

Privacy

VibeBoard has no account and no server, so we cannot see your boards and cannot recover them for you. Read the full details in the privacy policy.
